Manuel,

E-mailing press releases to media -- whether trade or
consumer -- is not spamming. What you do have to be
careful of is if the editor/reporter at newspapers you
target prefer to receive press releases that way. If it
is the technology or computer editor, the answer is
most likely yes. But, not all papers are fully wired.
