Hi ...
1. Richard you are right ...the web-trends software
tells you where most of your visitors come from ... and
come from here means where they connect from.
2. You want to get around "that" ... the question is
what information do you want and more importantly are
you looking at the right sources for the same ...
If you want to know how your visitors connect, what are
the pages they visit, the browsers they use etc. use
the web trends software. Thus you get information that
improves a visitor's online experience.
You can get aggregate stats from the ISP that shall
give you some idea about your visitor.
For more specific information you shall have to
aggregate the information you collect through any
online forms and other interactions with your customer
...Compare this aggregate with the set described by the
aggregate data provided by the ISP and you know more
about your customer base.
I hope that is helpful.
