Just curious what everyone's thoughts were on publicity
for a site "grand opening". We've been in the beta
stage for a few weeks and are in the process of
finalizing the look-and-feel as well as content. We
are considering issuing a press release however:

(a) I'm not sure that's appropriate for an online
magazine. I can understand it for saleable products
but not necessarily for an online community. Is their
value in announcing this sort of thing through a press
release?

(b) I'm not sure what the best service to use is
(PRNewswire, etc.???) if I only pick one.
