Given the amount of discussion in recent weeks
concerning who is allowed to do what with whose
contents, I suggest you take a look at this (free!)
thought-provoking report on copyright in cyberspace:

"Trademark Traps, Copyright Concerns, and Limiting
Liability in Cyberspace" was written by counsel
Jessica Friedman and discusses the case law concerning
linking, protection of domain names and meta-tags, the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act and remedies for
infringement.

It's well worth taking a look at, even for general
interest and may curb some of the enthusiasm for
hijacking site content/ads etc. It's something which
may possibly be of more interest to publishers (our
prime interest/client base) than marketers, but given
the possible legal consequences, you do need to bear
this stuff in mind.
