In magazine space sales a media buyer will not use a
publication unless it is audited by MPA or BPA, for
most situations. If an ezine is not audited or can not
provide third party reports, it is best to stay away.
While there are auditing services for ezines, third
party reports from list service software or providers
such as ListBot, Lyris and Topica would also suffice.
If an ezine publisher has not invested in commercial
list software or using a third party service, it may
tell you something about the real list size or the
financial stability of the list owner.
