Log analysis in the era of cache servers...

I believe that considerable amounts of traffic to our
site is never making to our servers due to caching
technology. It is important for us to be able to have
as accurate as possible of an understanding of our
traffic patterns. I suspect that we will never be able
to determine what our "true" numbers are from
historical data. I would however, like to be able to
implement technology in order to be able to track this
better in the future.
