If you want cheap ($99) and very simple easy-to-use
bulk email, try MailKing (http://www.mailking.com).
I've employed it for applications such as a city
council campaign (6,000 addresses), volunteer lists,
and contacting all California Assemblymembers and
State Senators who have email addresses. (NOTE:
Spamming elected officials and bureaucrats is a
perfectly legitimate use of bulk email. After all, it
is our First Amendment right to "petition the
Government for a redress of grievances.") MailKing
lets me individually address recipients rather than
BCC'ing them, and mail-merge any database field
directly into the subject line or body of the message.
My software copy is two years old, and I've never
bothered to upgrade, so I can't be sure what the
current version is like.
