Ad Blocking Software

What are everyone's thoughts on the software programs
such as AdSubtract, Intermute and WebWasher that remove
banner ads while you surf? Do you think they will ever
catch on significantly? If so, what will happen to
websites with advertising based business models? Will
subscription services become a necessity or will the
websites and ad serving companies find a way to stop ad
blocking software?
