The amount of time to download the latest browsers is
about 20 minutes on a 56k modem. And the population is
downloading these latest browsers. Why, you may ask.
Well the professional and personal population likes to
keep to date with the current web technologies.

This applies to Macromedia Flash as well. In
comparison to the latest browsers, Flash takes a bout 2
minutes to download, and will keep the professional and
personal internet population up to date with the latest
web technology.

As the Flash plug-in problem is slowly decaying (over
80% of the internet population already have the plug-in
installed), many people are realizing its potential as
a highly-effective marketing asset.

If you ask me, those consultants were doing their jobs
properly. They are consultants in a highly competitive
and highly technological environment. And in order to
keep up with the technology and the competition, they
are and must adapt to changing times.

A final note to those who still thing of the plug-in as
a burden, stop wasting your time complaining about it,
because the short time that you have wasted complaining
could have been used to download the plug-in and to
enjoy the newest innovation in web technology.
