Darryl,

About six months ago we attempted a PSA banner campaign
for our client Leave A Legacy Georgia
(http://www.leavealegacygeorgia.org). None of the
media we contacted had ever been asked about running
PSAs before. After quite a bit of back-and-forth, only
one site agreed to squeeze our banners in where they
could. I've never received any results or statistics,
and don't feel like I can badger the site for the
information since we're not paying them. I ended up
sending the banners to the other media as well, with a
very nicely worded request that they run them if they
could. I have no idea if anything ever ran.

I think this is a real shame, since the interactive
publishing industry has so much remnant space available
(overall, on average). They could do a heckuva lot of
good by implementing a PSA policy.
