Determining email test quantities

Direct Response Price Test question

I'm planning to do a price elasticity test for a
service via email. I'm looking for guidance in setting
my outgoing mail quanities high enough to ensure I get
statistically reliable results. I'm hoping someone
knows the formula for this. The plan is to mail 8 cells
at 5000 each for 8 different price points. My concern
is that if the buy rate is low, I won't have enough
conversions in each cell to make statistically reliable
conclusions. If anyone is willing to discuss this by
