Tracking is not a problem, we can actually track #of
views of the text ad and click thrus, much the same as
we would with a banner ad. Our software allows for this
with some creative on our part, but we have been doing
this for the last two years. We have seen a trend
towards "opt-in" newsletters as well as 'text ads" that
are included in site content so we had to come up with
a way. It turned out to be very simple indeed.
I speak as an individual publisher of 12 domains, and i
speak of our own software so i cannot speak for the
larger affiliate or networks like flycast and
doubleclick. But i assume that can offer the service.
