it may be just slightly ahead of it's time and too
costly on the production end for most ad clients. time
will probably change that but i would hazard a guess
and say that it's may be 10-12 months away before it
really starts to penetrate and even then probably at
the high end advertiser level, those with big
piggybacks. but that should not stop you in being a
pioneer in the marketing of the concept. If you have
gone this far into the project perhaps you should push
the uniqueness of your position. are you offering the
creative production services as well? perhaps if you do
the production end as well and if you could make it
available to web site publishers as an option in the
creative end that could be offered their clients,
something could brew.
the time will come, to some degree it has, flash for
example is much more accepted than at any time in the
past due to the fact that it's a built in plug-in on
the latest major browser software releases. any time
you get into having to have the user download a plug-in
it detracts from the potential of the campaign. but i
do believe the major hurdle is the production cost when
compared to other modes of ad creation. tell us more:-)
