Adam,

In the past I have had success when I create a
customized and distinct url name for the ad campaign
that gets the visitor into the site your bad covers (I
can then count response to ad in that url), then direct
them to the secured access url (measuring click-through
interests).

Also, when using step one, if you are advertising in
different publications or sites you can create a unique
url for each of the pubs to see which ones yield
greater responses.
