To respond to the recent posts by Lisa Melvin and David
Stone, there are services out there, such as
submit-it.com and TrafficResults.com, that "guarantee"
top search engine ranking. I haven't used them, so I
don't know what their rates are like. I've spoken to a
few folks at TrafficResults, and despite the fact that
they cold-called me (I know it's hypocritical, but I do
find cold calling irritating!), they seem like decent
people. It may be worthwhile for you to check them out.
Especially with all the other work you have on your
plate!

I would also recommend submitting your site to
www.dmoz.org, as many of the search engines actually
get their entries from there. It might save you a
step!
