Tracking Referrals

Hi, I'm new to this list, so I apologize if this has
been asked and answered.

We've just set up an arrangment with a third-party
bookseller (not one you've heard of) who will fulfill
all book orders coming from our site. What we're trying
to find out is: how can we independently verify the
number of users who click from our site to theirs and
buy the book? We naturally want to make sure the
numbers reported by the third-party vendor are
accurate. Does anyone know how this can be done??
