I'd take issue with the last sentence on two counts.
First, it is incorrect to assume that people needing
help to find pepsi.com or coke.com are "rather slow".
Many people are just unfamiliar or uncomfortable with
the Internet environment; they find it easier, for
example, to type the familiar word "coke" into the
default search form that appears when they open their
browser than to get to grips with the structure of
urls, however easy that might seem to us Internet
professionals.

Second, even if someone might be "rather slow", this is
all the more reason for us to make it as easy as
possible for them to find what they're looking for.
