Multiple list-groups

Hi all,

I'm about to enter new territory (for me) and need this
list's combined knowledge and experience.

Any thoughts, pitfalls, direction or sarcasm greatfully
sought and accepted.

I am developing an online newsletter / magazine.
Because it is fairly rich in graphic content (several
photos per issue), the plan is to distribute each issue
first by text newsletter, and second by web site. The
text version will simply link to the site. I want to be
user friendly and not clog up recipient's mail boxes.

I do not believe I want to actually do the distribution
myself, but rather rely on one of the list server
outfits like eGroups or Topica. That brings up my
question.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't use multiple
list-groups? I'd probably be using the free email lists
in the beginning and migrating to a paid list if / when
it seems right. A second thought is I'd find which list
seemed to provide the best response.
