I agree, however, in my case I don't mind e-mail, I can
always type back "no thanks", delete the message, or
contact those who are selling something I want. What
bothers me is when people call me on the phone and
interrupt my meetings because they "saw my post on the
list" and thought they would introduce their company to
me. Email is preferable if it has to happen at all.
As for being added to companies' mailing lists -- you
bring up a very big issue in my opinion! It seems
there is no such thing as Internet privacy when it
comes to BtoB marketing. I cannot tell you how many
times I have filled out a form on a site that sells
products/services to businesses, where they let you
check off "email only" "call me" or "just send info via
postal mail" -- and no matter what you ask for, THEY
ALWAYS CALL!! Without permission.
Anyone else experience this?
