Hello,

With a small, niche site like yours, you may want to
consider directly approaching some firms in your
industry regarding a sponsorship-type agreement. If
you can in some way measure the quality of your
audience, a targeted sponsor would be interested in
getting their name in front of that group. This could
be through activities such as sponsored content,
co-branded pages, surveys & contests, etc.

The banner ad model may be another option, but you need
a significant volume of traffic in order to generate
decent revenue.

In my experience, the direct approach is (usually) most
effective and quickest ways to attract
sponsors/advertisers...having said that, I would also
advise you spend a little time building relationships
with key advertising and PR firms in your industry.
This can pay off long-term; just don't expect an
immediate payback, unless you are lucky with your
timing.

Affiliate programs can be the icing on this
cake...again, though, I wouldn't count on huge revenue
streams from this alone.

Hope that helps...

Cheers,

Richard Kies
