Log File analysis is a complete pain - in the last four
years i have tried no less than 3 versions of Web
Trends and three other packages - Currently trialing
Funnel Web 4 and am finding it to be the best to date -

I often think that an Analysis service would be useful
for small and medium publishers - you send your raw
log files on CD each month to someone who knows Log
file analysis inside out (and the various tools to do
it) and for a fee they upload your reports on-line
with just the reports you want and none of the garbage
you don't want. lovely. No good for live reporting -
but most of those I have used can only generate
superficial reports anyway.
