I have been using the Flycast network for about 4
months now. Although I appreciate the content and
advertisers they have sold ads for my site I am
dismayed by the payout rates and the level of managing
my own banner ads for the unsold inventory they have
for my site.
My site is a dating service directory, a bit out of the
realm of a business site, but I have worked hard to
have more than just a links site. I maintain reviews of
more than 160 dating services, of which I visit every
one at least once a month to ensure the accuracy of my
personal reviews and am besieged with requests for
reviews of more services every day.
The ability of having only one banner ad to fill in
when they don't have ad space sold, and the realism of
having to delete and add in personally sold banner
space is not what I wanted with this service. I am
finding that affiliate banners pay better when rotated
every couple of days than the CPC network has for my
small site (40000+views per month. I doubt that a
larger site will prosper better with the way that the
CPM network is set up currently. But if you do go with
them, you'll find that at least the advertisers are
rotated well, and usually targeted for your audience.
Happy Selling!
