That is what happens when a firm, once a pioneer,
becomes an IPO and bottom line is all important. Add to
this that a once well run entity is now forced to hire
employees and so they become victim of their own staff.
But perhaps it is human nature, after you make your
first 5 million you may find client service does not
matter as much as it once did. In my years on-line and
coming from traditional service industries the one
glaring "lack of" there is on line today is in the
customer service area. It's why I prefer to research
and do business with smaller entities with better work
ethics and more concern for clients and believe me they
do exist.
It's like advertising with one of the large ad
networks. Their infrastructure has become a problem,
and they are , after all only middle men for other
sites ad space. All these networks rely on publishers
of sites with medium to good traffic, then we as
advertisers end up paying for that infrastructure.
Traditionally and with great cost savings and success
we search out individual sites and run ads direct
saving us a bundle and providing us with great site
matches which for all the hype the networks just can
not duplicate.
Just food for thought......
