Intellectual Disability Users, NPOs and web presence

Hello everyone,

I would like some feedback regarding internet usage and
in particular usability issues for Non Profit
Organisations that must be addressed for people with
intellectual disabilities.

We are currently consulting on a project for a NPO that
serves two distinct segments - business sector
(suppliers and utilizers of their services) and the
intellectually disabled - the segment the NPO serves.

In regards to redesigning a web site for the NPO to
serve both the intellectually disabled and potential
sponsors or donors, does anyone have an idea about the
issues that intellectually disabled people have with
web browsing, what kind of usability issues must be
addressed in the realm of web design, and the
percentages or reasons for browsers in this group?

What related issues or terms of reference should be
considered in regards to these points?

We would appreciate any response in regards to both
marketing a NPO web presence and more specifically
intellectually disabled usability and information
issues.
