Dear Frank.... many of the search engines have their
own STATS links....this checks your site and its
presence on the web.
Unfortunately though... they don't tell you that it
generally takes 2 to six weeks to list on the major
search engines, plus you need to keep doing it
regularly.
We have been trading on the net for a few years now and
have found a great product to use...its called ADWEBB
and it found at www.cyberspacehq.com it costs approx.
US$150.00 BUT it is worth it...and now boasts 330,000
plus sites including search engines, links pages,
directories etc...... it has web site rankings, no
stats though.
If you go to www.mediahouse.com there is a stats server
service which is a bit expensive but there would b
cheaper.....for US$500.00 they will allow you to hook
up upto 500 web sites so you can get the stats every
second of the day.... stats like, domains people have
looked at, pages, which browsers sent them to you, how
many browsers or hits or sessions for that day week
month or on at the moment. I know it is quite expensive
BUT it is brilliant if you have a business or two... if
you have made your trade the INTERNET market...then
ADWEBB and a stats server is a must.... promotion is
the life blood of a site.
Most web hosting companies will provide this service
too... included within their price one would hope....
Good luck.
Cheers
