...one way to see if you got spidered: Look at your
server logs, see whether you were visited by any of the
search engine spiders. You'll be able to check the
"user agent" (i.e. the web browser or other software
used to fetch your page) for each request. Look for the
names of known spiders (you can find these at
searchenginewatch.com or searchengineworld.com, among
other places).

This won't tell you how well your pages perform in
searches, mind you, but it will at least tell you which
of your pages were in fact visited by the spiders and
thus have the possibility, at least, of showing up in
the engines.
