Hey guys.. you're missing the point.. Brad has a very
valid point which is a critical law of marketing ...
focus - target, target, target. Wether it is
advertising, direct mail or direct email.

BRAD JENSEN <brad_at_elstore.com> WROTE:
> My point is that it is only spam if you don't want the

There is too much brash emotion to direct email aka
spam which distorts peoples minds from properly
thinking about how email can be an effective marketing
tool, OK so you do'nt go and email 100,000's of people
at once costing your reputation huge $'s just like I
would not fork out the $750K or so to advertise a 60
sec spot on Friends to sell caterpillar earth moving
equipment.

But a properly focused, thought out campaign can win
huge revenues.... and is'nt that the point of this
list.. to assist in furthering our ideas and what can
be done to utilise the internet as an advertising
medium/platform ?

Anyone can critise or bash.. let's see some substance
here rather than whining - join an anti spam list for
that.
