You know, maybe I did misinterpret that. So what I'll
contribute here is what I replied to Dave, off list:

What if people opt in to receive the content and the
ads that go with it? When someone buys (changes
ownership) of the list, that owner is bound to the
same ethics and culture of the former owner's. Maybe
I'm thick, but I don't see the problem there. I see
the POTENTIAL for a problem, but nothing
insurmountable.

This is true. But if I did, you can bet that the VERY
FIRST message I would post as Moderator would be a
notice of change of ownership and what that would mean
to the group. When you think about it, it's a great
way to freshen up and re-charge the list, if youu do it
right.
