The answer here is to be positive and focus on your
strengths. Show your portfolio, don't say when it's from
- unless there's something about it that looks dated -
and don't even mention not working for a while. If asked
for dates, then give them with an explanation. I would
also not mention that you are a startup or new business
(not to clients, at least) because your experience is far,
far, from startup.
Focus on the ability of skilled designers and writers who
work to meet clients needs and have the experience to
deliver quality work on time.
