The Newspaper,
That is an OLD ICON, is it not.
Jan has a very good point concerning the digital
concept of things. I believed in the late '70's that
these new machines were one of the reasons we started
doing this computer stuff anyway. The Virtual,
Paperless Office. Everyone's dream come true. Yet
many aspects of our lives demand that print and the
day of digital authenticity for all of us is, at least,
a far step down the road.
Once again I point out that many people alive today and
for some time to come will never use or want to use a
computer. Yes, This is true. And it isn't going to
painters and artist and shipwrecked survivors. They
will be people that won't use them because they don't
want to.
And with great respect for Jan's efforts to become
paperless, a dream of my own as well, Sadly, the earth
turns slowly, Jan.
