Direct Email

We have just launched our new website
(http://www.hrsolutionsinc.com). It includes a free
Career Tools area for our target market, HR
Professionals. This area is designed to "capture" these
professionals in discussion groups, our electronic
newsletter, etc. Once they are "captured" our company
will be infront of their eyeballs all the time. We want
to drive traffic back to our Career Tools area.

How advisable is direct email? I have internal email
lists as well as access to external email lists. We're
considering directly emailing HR Professionals and
inviting them to participate in our free Career Tools
area (genuinely useful to their profession). Any
advice??
