We are using AXS script for tracking visitors flow
thru the site and for referrals. It's much more
accurate than all web based trackers like Hitbox. I've
heard Hitbox is recording only 2/3 of your actual
traffic.
Another solution is a server log file analyzing script
or software (like WebLog).

For marketing campaigns tracking I would suggest
ROIbot Pro account. We've been using it for several
months and quite happy with it. One of their services
is tracking the effectiveness of your ad campaigns (or
any link actually). We've used the CGI script before
but ROIbot service is much easy to manage.
