Wireless Advertising to Specific PDAs
Howdy Folks,
We currently are working with a new client that
manufactures plug in accessories for the Handspring
Visor PDA. Part of their marketing campaign includes
advertising on web sites dealing with Handspring's
Visor and related newsletters.
However, we're also about to jump into a new field that
I admit is totally new to me- Wireless Advertising.
What I would like to do is hit users of the Handspring
Visor while they are using it. This would be a precise
marketing campaign that would only be delivered to
Handspring Visor users. In turn, securing no spill over
into the other wireless PDAs.
So my questions are:
Can this be done?
And if so, what online resources and firms would you
suggest?
Is there any technology that can determine the type of
PDA that is used to access a site and then serve an ad
specifically targeted to that PDA?
