Are kids online today?

We are planning a kids channel in India. There is a lot
of debate on what age group I should restrict myself
to. Some say start at 6 and some say at 9. Does anyone
have any data on surfing habits of people (guess
calling them kids might sound offensive) in the age
group of 8 to 13 years, viz., number of such people
online presently, projections for the next few years,
activities they engage in on the net, popular sites.
Any information or direction in the area will be
welcome.
