Java is a poor tool for the Internet anyway. It was
designed for corporate intranets. Requiring a browser
to start up the java engine just to serve an ad is
adding a tremendous delay on slower machines. That's
like deliberately excluding part of your target
audience. People don't like it when the browser
appears to lock up because it's loading plugins,
starting java, etc. That's why a lot of people
(including me) turn off java.
