No, Rob, it's not just you! I'm on dial-up, using Web
access to get my business email, and it burns me
up when I see someone sending me an email message that
takes 15 minutes to download and then I learn that it
was someone sending an unsolicited media kit.

These people go into a special file I have created
called "clueless." Someday soon I'm going to write an
article exposing all the many varieties of marketing
cluelessness. They basically all stem from a failure
to use lack of common sense.

In this case, sending a 15-minute download to someone
who hasn't requested it is the equivalent of cornering
someone at a networking event and subjecting them to
a 15-minute sales pitch -- when they're not even a
prospective buyer! The clueless folks' reasoning seems
to be, it costs me nothing so therefore it must be
something I should do.
