That's quite a load of misinformation. If you're
hoping to stir the masses and rally them to the cause
of abusing the system, as always some people will be
swayed by emotion, but the cold hard facts disagree
with you on all fronts.
First of all, these nameless 'nay sayers' you're so
passionately railing against are the Internet Service
Providers, the people who have to bear the costs of
sending and receiving email. THEY are the folks who
set up the black list. THEY are the folks who
threaten each other with ostracism if they don't keep
their users in line. THEY are the folks who made these
rules in the first place. It all comes down to money.
Email spammers don't pay the ISPs for use of their
equipment and bandwidth. Period.
As for U.S. freedom, it's right where it has always
been and belongs: in the Constitution, which has
almost nothing to do with the Internet, which is now
largely a privately administered medium and a great
deal of that administration occurs outside the United
States.
Be kind to your Internet Service Provider. They may be
jerks who only selectively enforce their abuse
policies, but they are the people who make ecommerce
possible, and many of them are themselves business
people, not "geeks".
People who don't like being called spammers have three
choices: break the rules and get their hands slapped,
abide by the rules they agreed to abide by in the
first place, or go elsewhere.
