Re: Making Email Spam Free
Last night my objection to spam took a very drastic
turn.
I've been getting a lot of "un-deliverable mail"
messages lately. All, or almost all were from a
friend's ISP over the last several weeks. The message
last night, which I actually read and delved into, was
based on a spam filter at his ISP. Now, I don't know if
all the previous messages were bounced for the same
reason, but I can tell you what I read last night.
"We're not accusing you of being a spammer...a few bad
apples...from your ISP...etc." They then said to
contact my ISP, which I did. Oh, Microsoft Network, by
the way.
So this local ISP is blocking some--**but not
all**--messages from MSN. I'm just guessing now, but
perhaps MSN has more than one address in my area, and
this other provider is only blocking one (or some) of
them.
Now think of some of the messages we've had on the
forum, from people who have tried to be diligent, but
have been thrown off their web host for spamming. Gives
one pause, doesn't it.
Is this the result of laws passed to protect us? Don't
know. What do you all think.
I'm moving a bit closer to let the spam run, if my
recent experience is the result.
