Laura, regarding a special ROIbot URL, they should just
add simple tracking code to the end of your existing
URL after a ? like this:

http://www.roibot.com/display.cgi?roi/clickRegpaid.htm

That means, it won't affect branding or name
familiarity.

Unfortunately, you seem to have trouble getting
marketing support from your company. Otherwise, your
in-house web staff should be able to set up tracking
code for you (with your assistance), and give you the
results of tracking in traffic reports derived from log
files. Good reports will show you what engines and
what keywords traffic is coming from, as well as a lot
of other needed information. You don't need Roibot for
that, and then you wouldn't have to resubmit to search
engines. If you went with a traffic reporting solution
like webtrendslive (using someone else's server), you
will still have to add code to the bottom of each web
page for tracking.

I urge you to try and get some support. I'm sure I am
preaching to the choir here, but what's the use of
having a marketing tool if you can't measure your
results? Your web team will surely have to be involved
at some point, whether they like it or not! It really
isn't that complicated.

PS A red flag rose when I read that you are using a
"couple of companies" to provide search engine
placement services. Maybe I am misunderstanding this,
but you should make sure that 1 qualified company is in
control of this, and no one else is submitting your
pages!
