Re: Making Email Spam Free

It would appear as if I'm damned if I do and damned if
I don't....

ENDRE ENEYDY <e_enyedy_at_netside.net> WROTE:

TO WHICH TREVOR JOHNSON <bpfsa_at_yahoo.com> REPLIED:

TO WHICH MARTYN EMERY <martyn_emery_at_hotmail.com> REPLIED:

I've come to learn that AFTER the horse has bolted, and
is precisely what I have been doing for quite some time
now.... You may have noticed I used a "throwaway" Yahoo
Mail account for my post, for example - not my
spammed-to-death business email...

AND JAMIE SCHACHTER <marketing_at_therefinishingtouch.com> ALSO REPLIED:

No, I'm not. Not at all. It is NOT my Yahoo account
that is getting 700 spams per day. It is my business
domain email.

I had requested O-A to publish WITHOUT using my email
address, to which I had a reply saying that was not
possible, that an email address was essential. It was
only then that I wrote back to O-A and asked that my
"throwaway" Yahoo account be used.... You will notice
this is exactly the typr of advice the contributor
before you gave, and now which you criticize.

Simply, I no longer put my business email address (the
spammed-to-death domain address) on anything other than
private, one-to-one mail. It has long since been
removed from all places on the WWW where the automated
email-address-harvesters of spammers can find it.

Other than in private correspondence, it is now only
found on the CD's of millions of email addresses
spammers sell.... then other spammers buy, use, copy
and sell... to other spammers who buy, use, copy and
sell.... to other spammers.... etc, etc.

If anyone REALLY wants to see something serious done to
halt the international spam-plagues, a good first step
would be to lobby laws banning the sale/rental OR
purchase/hiring of email lists, other than where they
are sold as an integral part of a business sold as a
going concern.

This will in NO WAY impede honest, ethic internet
business practices.
