I am the Production Manager of a start up which, among
other things, delivers targeted advertising over the
ISP channel directly to users desktops and irrespective
of a browser instance. We developed our own ad
management tool a while back, but have been looking
into several off the shelf tools (Solbrite and
Spark.com in particular) to automate the insertion
order, inventory, ad wrapping, and revenue reporting
processes as we expand. We have a wealth of data to
report through this interface not to mention an ad
delivery channel that is not standard and I fear an
overabundance of modification may be necessary. What
has been your experience in working with these
prepackaged ad management tools? Do they perform their
advertised functions well? How much room for
customization do you find?
