Hits, Users, or PageViews?

Users - Please Clarify Hits vs Users (EYES) vs Page
Views.. ETC!!

I'm not sure who to direct this to. But in the last
while, I've seen users relate that they are getting 1
million page views per day, 60 000 page views per day,
1 million hits per day, 200 000 users per month, etc...

Perhaps, one would prefer to see a basis on 'MARKET'
or 'UNIQUE USERS' per day, then perhaps parlayed into
'hits' etc... When someone relates to us they are
getting 1 million page views per day... This sounds
like a 'Billion Dollar' company... Which astounds me
that their looking here for ideas on how to sell their
inventory, or get more then $100 per month in
revenue...

Hence... 1 million users per day, vs 1 million page
views per day, vs 1 million impressions per day, vs the
1 million 'hits' per day are entirely different
stories...

REMEMBER USERS - When looking at a log file - a hit,
includes everything... All images are include per
page... So a page delivering (1 page - with 10 images)
with 1/2/5/10/100/1000 users respectively:

1 user: 1 page: 10 (+1 page and more images)
                              [or more] hits

2 users: 2 pages (or more): 20 (+2 pages and more images)
                                           [or more] hits

5 users: 5 pages (or more): 50 (+5 pages and more images)
                                           [or more] hits

10 users: 10 pages (or more): 100 (+10 pages and more
                               images) [or more] hits

100 users: 100 pages (or more): 1000 (+100 pages and more
                                   images) [or more] hits

1000 users: 1000 pages (or more): 10000 (+1000 pages and
                             more images) [or more] hits

You know how it goes... The more pages, the more
hits... etc... But, the amount of unique users may be
infinite... The number of unique users is your 'EYES'
to work with...

To the ones with 1 million users or page hits per day
(or even per month), spend your time with VC (Venture
Capital) people and not here...
