Online Demand

I'm wondering if you can help me find a web site to aid
in some research I'm doing. I'm thinking about putting
a web site online that would sell a product that is not
usually found for sale online. Let's say, for
instance, I wanted to sell toilet seats online. I
don't know for sure, but I can guess that there aren't
a lot of stores online that specialize in toilet seats.

Now, where would I go, before putting this business
online, to get an idea of what demand for toilet seats
online is? Can I search searches that people have
tried at various engines to see how many pertain to
toilet seats? Are there some type of online consumer
interest statistics that I can browse?

Any help you may have would be appreciated.
