Hits, Users, or PageViews?

But unique users do not equal page views (or
impressions, which my log translating software defines
as the same thing).
Numbers from my actual log software (WebTrends) But not
a recent month. Hits (like you said a relatively usless
number since every page includes a different number of
hits) 1.2 million
Page views or impressions 400K
User sessions 57K
Unique users 12.7K
I have found that not all software programs define a
unique user in the same way. So when I say in month X
I had 12.7K unique users that may be more and may be
less than someone with 13.5K unique users who is using
a different program to interpret their log files.
What we need is more standardization in both how to
report figures and what those reported figures actually
mean.
