Greetings again List:
When it comes to the battle between Keywords v.s Key
Phrases (in the context of search engine placement)
key phrases win hands down in our experience. After
all there can be only 1, number 1, listing for any
given word, that's why when our firm is retained to
perform search engine positioning services on behalf
of a client organization - we almost always focus our
efforts on Phrases.
In order to be truly successful at Search Engine
positioning one should first begin thinking like the
person who is looking for information. What would you
type in to locate the products, goods or services you
are capable of providing... at first glance this seems
easy ... but 9 times out of 10 this is NOT as easy as
it initially sounds. To illustrate, find the most
computer illiterate person in your organization,
demonstrate a search engine to them and then ask them
what they think should be typed in to look for
information on the products you sell, you will quickly
learn we do not all think alike.
If you spend considerable time learning how people
might search for you - you'll likely do better when it
comes to ranking higher on the search engines.
