Most of what you say is perfectly true.

Regarding the high prices, that can be in several
circumstences of very targetted advertising.

I'm a senior marketing consultant, buying media in
hundreds of thousands of dollars per month for online
casinos, and there aere sites we pay only $0.5 CPM,
sometimes even less, but for the targetted inventory as
casino directories and search engine keywords we
sometimes pay as high as $60 CPM.
