Hi,

I agree somewhat with Tiffany's comments, many people
think it's the banners themselves that are at fault,
this could be the case for a badly designed banner ad
but there are many other factors that come into play.
How well is the banner targeted for example? No matter
what people say about the humble GIF banner ad, the
sales in advertising using this medium speak for
themselves.

New flash banner ads and java based banners offer
advertisers far more possibilities then the GIF
versions and it is only a matter of time before they
become the new standard in banner advertising, when
this happens you won't be hearing all this nonsense
that's going around.

Cheers, Paul Titze.
