Michelle,

You mentioned in a post a few days back that you were
looking for a company to help improve your web site's
ranking in search engines. If you're still looking for
some information, maybe this will be useful.

I'm in the marketing/advertising business and have
worked with a variety of Internet placement and search
engine optimization companies both in the US and abroad
over the past three years, and I have recently come
across a new concept that I think is quite unique from
the "traditional" thinking in this area.

There are many companies that will claim to submit your
site to various search engines and help you learn the
"rules" to update your site for better placements,
however, one thing they are not offering is a true
evaluation of the effectiveness of these methods. It's
still often left up to you (or someone in your
organization) to evaluate your site logs and various
data to determine what is working. I don't know about
you, but I know I never have time for that!

Perhaps you'll find what you're looking for from a new
company called NetPhysic. Their approach is different
because they provide a service to help you really
understand what is working and what isn't working on
your site. They work in a niche between your marketing
department and your web site designer.
