Re: Any ad networks accepting more inventory?

I've been following this list quietly for a while and
have seen a number of posts discussing the current
state of the online advertising industry. This post
from Jonathan, again seems to exemplify this.
I believe that the industry is in such a state as a
result of the ad's not being of any interest to the
viewer. I guess this is not a new view point. What I
think needs to happen, & what we are doing is to
deliver ads that the viewer will be interested in. Ads
that are for local business or services situated within
the viewers city, not ads that are on the other side of
the world. If you look at print, radio or TV ads about
80% of them are for 'local' businesses.
In the offline world, most of our available dollars are
spent with local businesses, why should the online
world be any different. By this I mean that you should
be able to surf the net on any site in the world &
still see ads that are relevant to your city. There is
nothing worse than seeing an ad that is of interest,
and clicking on it only to find that it is only
available in the US & you are in Australia. It is no
wonder that no one clicks on ads - they have been
taught not to.
I believe we can turn the industry around by delivering
ads that viewers are interested in. Ads that are
relevant to them, & that are for business in their
city.
This is what we are doing with our city targeted
internet advertising network. Using our network,
advertisers can target their internet advertising to
just a specific city, region or country. The ads are
served using our propriety technology on our member web
sites throughout the world. When a user visits one of
our member websites, their location is determined &
they are served an ad for their city. The campaigns
we are currently running are all receiving CTR's of
1.3% - 1.5%, with the acquisition cost per visitor
being between 0.33 - 0.72c (US).
We are currently expanding our network & increasing our
inventory, and are interested in talking to sites about
participation in our ad network. You can check out
further details about us at our site or contact me for
