In response to Snow's request for buying locally based
ads. You can go to several networks and ask them to do
a geographically based buy. Though not entirely
accurate, there are a few that are close to perfecting
it. You may even try services such as AllAdvantage.
The only issue really is that the amount you are
probably looking to spend (being small as a business
and targeted as a buy) is probably too small for anyone
to cater to. Definitely worth a try.
You can also try out an application that we developed
which is integrated with over 100 publishers including
local publishers. It will allow you to buy on these
sites in an automated and streamlined way so that most
of the costs involved in the advertising process has
been taken out. The minimum buy through this app is
$200 and some of the sites that you can buy include
brand names as Lycos, FOX Sports to the NY Times.
We are in the midst of augmenting our geographic buy
through the addition of 1400 local newspapers around
the country. That should be up within the month as well
as the ability to also buy geographically based
newsletters within the month as well. To use this
application, you can go to
